10 agosto 2007 FAQ
On basis of what the test materials “A” or “B” should be chosen?
Choose “A” if you use the HPLC or GC method, i.e. the confirmation method.
Choose “B” if you use the following methods: ELISA, RIA, biosensors, microbiological tests, lateral flow, i.e. screening methods. Can I participate analyzing the test material “B” by a chromatographyc method?
Yes, you can. Can I participate analyzing the sample “A” by a screening method?
You can, but your results would not be included into the summary table of results “A”. If the test “B” was concurrently developing with the same material, we will insert your results in the summary table of “screening methods” results. Can I participate even if I don’t make the analysis of all the molecules indicated in the program for some material?
You can, but you have to consider the possibility to get a negative result in case the material was contaminated just by the drug you are not looking for; if this will be the case, your work would anyway allow to verify the specificity of your determinations . Why you are distributing two samples for the screening method?
If we don’t do it, the outcomes of the screening testing sometimes would be obvious (for example in cases when only one analyte has to be analyzed). Can I give more than one outcome for the same test material and therefore to obtain more assesments?
You can, if you want to submit more than one method or more than one kit you can realize it through buying two times the same test material (attention: to buy the additional material is not the same). If only one sample is bought, only one result will be accepted.
